Terms of Service

Fibermax is a service of Fibermax Internet Limited. Usage of Fibermax is subject to the business terms of Fibermax Internet Limited.
Fibermax service is only available in select areas. Out-of-range customers may sign up to be on a waiting list. Waiting list customers, subject to management’s discretion, may be required to pay for installation at the time of registration. In the unlikely event of failure to connect service within 90 days, a customer may demand a full 100% refund of the installation fee.

3. Devices/Equipment/Installation

All connectivity devices installed remain the property of Fibermax (unless otherwise stated). Fibermax reserves the right to enforce remote management/connectivity policies on customer-installed routers to ensure quality of service. Installation cost is in no way related to the devices installed, and in the unlikely event of dormant customers or service uninstallation, the customer will incur an installation fee to get reconnected.
All free lease devices are subject to replacement due to manufacturer defaults. In the unlikely event of a failure that is not due to a manufacturer default or wear and tear, the customer will be responsible for buying out the defective device to receive a new free lease device.
All devices sold to customers become the property of the customer upon successful payment/delivery. Fibermax provides a limited manufacturer warranty of 6 months on all devices sold.
The customer hereby agrees not to tamper with or relocate the installed devices without prior consent from Fibermax. This includes, but is not limited to, swapping the power adapter(s) or equipment installed at the customer’s premises.
The customer consents to allow Fibermax to install power equipment, which in some cases may be PoE (Power over Ethernet), used to power the distribution box in the locality. The customer is not obliged to keep this device on while not in use, as the power device is solely to ensure the customer receives internet service when required.
Fibermax reserves the right to charge up to a standard installation fee at its discretion in the unlikely event the customer relocates or requests for the devices to be moved within the premises.
Fibermax internet may only be used at the location where it is supplied and installed for the customer (as registered in the sign-up form) and their authorized users within the same premises (or unit/apartment), including any wireless device the customer may wish to extend within that one housing unit (or apartment) subscribed to Fibermax service. The customer acknowledges that they will not extend or allow the use of the Fibermax service to another dwelling (or unit), whether in exchange for payment or gratis.
Fibermax Internet Limited reserves the right to terminate service and blacklist the customer in the unlikely event that it is evidenced that the customer has extended the connectivity beyond the unit that was connected.

4. Internet Service & Plans

All plans are shared plans, and the speeds advertised are the maximum advertised speeds. Fibermax is a residential service, meaning users are likely to experience maximum speeds during out-of-business hours and may experience congestion and lower QoS during peak hours.
The advertised speeds do not indicate uncontended speed to international connectivity. All speeds advertised in the tariff represent speeds between the customer and the Fibermax core routers. All customers share a resource pool (contended) for international connectivity, up to a maximum of the advertised speeds. Any representation otherwise by anyone, including any Fibermax Internet Limited agents, is not valid.
Fibermax reserves the right to shape bandwidth to ensure a balanced user experience, including but not limited to enforcing a fair usage policy. Similar to all broadband internet services globally, users share the available capacity on the Fibermax network, and the Fair Use Policy ensures that this capacity is not disproportionately consumed by a few users, penalizing others. This is managed by regulating usage based on the 95th percentile of consumption.
All plans are unlimited unless otherwise stated. Limited plans will explicitly indicate the volume of unthrottled data, after which speeds will be reduced to basic browsing speeds as advertised, varying by plan.

Terms of Service

Fibermax is a prepaid service. Service must be renewed before expiry to avoid disruption. All sales are final and non-refundable. Refunds for installation are only applicable if the customer’s location becomes a non-service area within six months of inception. No refunds for monthly subscriptions unless the provider fails to deliver the service.

Fibermax Internet Limited reserves the right to change the plans and their respective pricing at its discretion, with prior notice of 30 days given to the customer.
The customer authorizes Fibermax to contact the registered email and phone number via automated reminders for service expiry. No grace periods will be issued upon expiry unless agreed upon. Any grace period provided must be paid for.
Subscriptions not renewed for more than 90 days may be deactivated permanently. All devices installed and owned by Fibermax Internet Limited may be removed by Fibermax Internet Limited. Any reconnection will be subject to the installation fee.
All subscriptions are for the duration specified, and subscriptions cannot be paused once a monthly package has been activated.
